About the Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy Certification Program

This Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy Certification Program certifies you as a Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapist.

Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy combines the skills of mindfulness with the healing power of nature.

MBE is used as a framework for helping individuals and families to find deeper connections in their own lives, and to give more meaning and enjoyment to the activities of daily living. By re-integrating ourselves with nature, we are able to tap into nature’s healing power and to heal the earth as we heal ourselves.

Since we first began offering the program in 2015, response has been overwhelming, so we began to offer the MBE training to mental health professionals all over the world. If you are interested in becoming a Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapist, this is the course for you!

NOTE CONCERNING THE COURSES IN THE CERTIFICATION PROGRAM
This complete certification package offers you a substantial savings over buying the courses individually, but you may also purchase the courses listed above separately and complete them one at a time. If you choose this option, you will need to contact us when you are ready to submit your case presentation.

Case Presentation for MBE Therapist Certification

After completing all three courses in the program, you will select a client to work with using at least one of the skills discussed in the Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy Program. This should incorporate at least one therapy session with your chosen client, including a follow-up with your client to discuss the results of the intervention.

Once you have gotten feedback from your client, fill out the Case Presentation Form by clicking on this link.

When filling out your case presentation, do not include any identifying information concerning your client.

When we receive your case presentation, it will be reviewed. There is no additional fee for reviewing your case presentation. There are no hidden fees or additional materials to purchase. The only exception is if you would like hardback copies of the textbook, which may be purchased here.

When your case presentation has been approved you will be emailed a Certificate of Completion in pdf format.

Certification Program Information

There are three courses included in this program. Once you have completed all three courses there is a case presentation in which you will used at least one activity from the Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy Program with a client.

Once your case presentation has been presented and approved, you will receive your Certificate of Completion as a Certified MBE Therapist and will be entitled to a free listing on our Directory of Certified MBE Therapists.

MBE Therapist Certification is administered and regulated by the Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy Organization, a division of the Mindful Ecotherapy Center, LLC. Questions about any of our certification programs should be addressed to the Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy Organization.

MBE Therapist Certification Program Instructions

This MBE Therapist Certification Program includes a pdf copy of the textbook, Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy in Clinical Practice

There are three separate courses included in the certification program. They are:

  1. Mindfulness for Therapists – 10 online/home study hours
  2. Ecotherapy for Therapists – 10 online/home study hours
  3. Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy in Clinical Practice – 35 online/home study hours

Each of these courses has a separate Certificate of Completion with the number of hours earned and the title of the course. There is a final exam for each course in the program. The final MBE Therapist certification is issued by the Mindful Ecotherapy Center, LLC upon successful case presentation, and after completing all of the coursework above. You will be emailed this Certification Certificate when your case presentation has been reviewed. This process usually takes about two weeks.

All of the program materials are online home study format and may be completed at your own pace. You have one year from the date of purchase to complete the program. Upon expiration of the two-year period you will no longer have access to the course materials. We frequently update course materials as new studies become available.

Please be sure to download all course documents, as you will no longer have access after the two-year period has expired.

What Graduates of the Program are Saying…

“I really enjoyed Chuck’s way of presenting the material. Easy to understand – even as a not native speaker and also funny jokes are included. This made the enormous material more consumable.” – E.S., Hungary

“I found this course very helpful and have already begun incorporating exercises with my existing clients. Thank you for developing and sharing this model and all of the research that you’ve drawn on!”

“This course was great! I even bought the manual to review, which is also a great tool! Thanks!”

“I am a hypnotherapist, sand tray therapist and LCSW working w/military kids in elementary schools. I’m blown away with this course content! I’ll retire to private practice in January. Maybe I could use the information somehow then. I loved it and have recommended it to a few of my therapist peers. Thank you!”

“I thought this course was so interesting and I learned so much! I bought the workbook to go along with the course.”

“It exceeded my expectations. The research backing the facilitator course is incredible and the presentation easy to understand and engaging. Thanks!”

“This course very much met my expectations. It wove together concepts I was already aware of but didn’t know to be eco-therapy related. It also gave me extensive knowledge and practical steps to guide participants. I am excited to incorporate this into my work.”

“This course exceeded my expectations! I look forward to taking more trainings with your organization in the future!”
