Just a reminder…the most common cause of not being able to login is not emptying your browser cache. This site uses cookies to verify that you are an authentic user. If you haven’t logged in since the last updates to the site, you’ll have to clear your browser cache before you can login.
Unfortunately this is an issue with our hosting provider, and the only workaround at the moment is clearing your browser cache.
If you’re having difficulty logging in, try that first.

    Changes: October 2, 2023
Just added a new navigation bar on the Directory making it easier for users to find Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy Program Facilitators near them.
At the first of the year we will be offering live, interactive webinars in Ecotherapy for Therapists and Mindfulness for Therapists. Both these courses will be eligible for credit for becoming a Mindfulness-Based Ecotherapy Program Facilitator.

There’s also vicarious trauma, where therapists who deal with trauma on a daily basis get traumatized themselves by hearing about the trauma of others. It’s the double-edged sword of being an empath.

Stoicism and mindfulness have a lot in common. I love ‘Meditations’ by Marcus Aurelius.

I may be showing my age here, but I use the Star Trek analogy of Mr. Spock…Rational Mind is devoid of emotion and is logical, rational, and can sometimes be seen as cold or uncaring, although that is not necessarily what is going on in that situation.
Rational Mind is ‘Doing Mode;’ engaging our problem-solving skills. It’s what weighs the costs and benefits of a given action or solution to a problem.
    Does this help?
